Michele Alonzo

MICHELE ALONZO, Executive Director

Michele Alonzo was born in Napoli, Campania, a Southern Italian region. He received his medical degree from University of Napoli and a professional degree in clinical research from University of Cincinnati. He started teaching at School Amici in 1991 and after a year became the Director.

Since 2000 Michele is a dual citizen and an authorized translator for the Consulate of Italy. He is also the area representative for an Exchange Program that allows Italian students to attend high school in the USA. A few years ago he started a cooperation with Italian sister schools in Siena and Sorrento, where some of our students have refined their language skills in full immersion style. He goes to Italy every year. His hobbies are soccer, photography, traveling, guitar playing and astronomy.
