Michele Alonzo

MICHELE ALONZO, Executive Director

Michele Alonzo was born in Napoli, Campania, a Souther Italian region. He received his medical degree from University of Napoli and a professional degree in clinical research from University of Cincinnati. He started teaching at School Amici in 1991 and after a year became the Director.

Since 2000 Michele is a dual citizen and an authorized translator for the Consulate of Italy. He is also the area representative for an Exchange Program, which allows Italian students to attend high school in the USA. A few years ago he started a cooperation with Italian sister schools in Siena, Orvieto, Sorrento and Recanati, where some Amici students have refined their language skills in full immersion style. Michele travels to Italy every summer. His hobbies are soccer, photography, traveling and playing guitar.
