Terms and Conditions

General Information

Only registration with full payment of the fee guarantees a seat in class. Seating is limited, therefore enrollment in all courses and events is on a first-come, first-served basis.

You have the choice of paying your fee either online or by mail.

Payment can be made by credit card (online only) using direct transfer to PayPal account italian@schoolamici.com, after completing the online registration form.

You may also mail a check or money order, payable to AMICI, to the address below. If you choose this option, please include a printout of your online registration form.

Locations of Classes
All courses are held at the Academy of World Languages (AWL), located on 2030 Fairfax Ave - Cincinnati, OH 45207.  Free parking is available to all students.

Days and Time
All classes are on Wednesday, 6:30-8:30pm, unless otherwise specified. Students should arrive 5-10 minutes before the lesson starts.

Students should purchase the textbook before the course begins. It can be ordered online through Amazon via a link on the "Textbook" webpage
. We suggest to buy a used copy in good conditions. It usually takes 7-10 days for shipping.

Terms and Conditions

Refund and Credit
A full refund of the class fee or a credit for the following session may be obtained if a student withdraws at least ten days before the course starts. A $80 cancellation fee applies if a student withdraws at least a week before the course starts. No refund is issued for a withdrawal occurring less than seven days before the first lesson of the course.

NO credit can be given to a student who withdraws or drops out on the first night of the course or thereafter. Discounts, partial or pro-rated payments are not allowed. Also it is not possible to grant a partial refund for missed or canceled lessons. Any credits must be used for the following session; otherwise it is forfeited.

Cancellation of a Course
Courses that do not have a sufficient enrollment are subject to cancellation. In this case the student can move to another course or take a credit for a future session or receive a full refund of the payment. Any credits must be used for the following session; otherwise it is forfeited.

Cancellation of a Lesson or Change of Day
School AMICI reserves the right to cancel a lesson should it be necessary due to severe weather or other exceptional circumstances. Each student must provide a daytime phone number and an email address where to be reached. If a class is cancelled, we will contact all students in a timely fashion. We will make our best to rescheduled a canceled lesson, depending on date availability. Occasionally lessons may be held on a different weekday due to a conflict of schedule. School Amici cannot issue a refund for canceled lessons.

Note: Classes are not in session whenever Cincinnati Public Schools are closed.

Change of Course
Only during the first week of the session a student may request to the school director to be moved to a different course, provided that seats are still available.

Certificate of Completion
A student is eligible for a Certificate of Completion upon attending all lessons of the course.
