General Information

Only registration with full payment of the fee guarantees a seat in class. Seating is limited, therefore enrollment in all courses and events is on a first-come, first-served basis.

One registration form must be completed by each applicant online.

You have the choice of paying your tuition either online or by mail.

Payment can be made by Credit Card (online only) using the PayPal button you'll see upon completing the online registration form.

You may also mail a Check or Money Order, payable to AMICI, to the address below. If you choose this option, please include a printout of your online registration form.

Locations of Classes
All courses are held at the Academy of World Languages (AWL), located on 2030 Fairfax Ave - Cincinnati, OH 45207.  Free parking is available to all students.

Days and Time
All classes are on Wednesday, 6:30-8:30pm, unless otherwise specified. Students are required to arrive ten minutes before the lesson starts.

Books
Students must purchase the books for their language class before the course begins. All educational material can be ordered online through amazon.com via a link on the school website
www.schoolamici.com in the section 'bookstore'. We suggest to buy a new copy, but a "used like new" copy can be a less expensive option. It usually takes 5-7 days for shipping.

Terms and Conditions

Refund and Credit
A Full Refund of the class fee may be obtained if a student withdraws at least 10 days before the course starts. A $60 cancellation fee applies if a student withdraws at least a week before the course starts. No refund is issued for a withdrawal occurring less than seven days before the first lesson of the course or when the course has already started.

NO credit can be given to a student who withdraws or drops out on the day the course starts or thereafter. Discounts, partial or pro-rated payments are not allowed. Also it is not possible to grant a partial refund for either missed or canceled lessons.

Cancellation of a Course
Courses that do not have a sufficient enrollment are subject to cancellation. In this case the student can move to another course or take a credit for a future session or receive a full refund of the payment.

Cancellation of Lesson or Change of Day
School AMICI reserves the right to cancel a lesson should it be necessary due to severe weather or other exceptional circumstances. Each student must provide an email address where to be reached. If a class is cancelled, School AMICI will contact all students in a timely fashion. We will make our best to reacheduled a canceled lesson, depending on date availability. Occasionally lessons may be held on a different day due to date restrictions or events that are not under our control. School Amici cannot issue a refund for canceled lessons.

Classes are not in session whenever Cincinnati Public Schools are closed.

Change of Course
Only during the first week of the session a student may request to the school director to be moved to a different course, provided that seats are still available in that course.

Certificate of Achievement
A student is eligible for a Certificate of Achievement upon passing a written test at the end of the course. This test is optional and is not required in order to enroll in a higher course level.

Smoking, Eating and Phone
No smoking is permitted on school’s premises. Food and beverages are prohibited in all classrooms. The use of cellular phones during the lesson is strictly limited to emergencies.
